The Judging Stand is located in the Long Beach Marine Stadium, a registered California Historical Landmark which was the first man-made rowing course in the United States, and which also hosted the US rowing trials for the 1968 summer Olympics. The Judging Stand structure was originally built in the mid-50’s to serve as a permanent judging area and marker for the finish line of crew races. Over the years, the structure succumbed to rising sea levels and vandalism. and was thus in need of restoration and repair. Aetypic provided design and repair documentation services for the complete rehabilitation of this Marine Stadium icon.
